Wilbury Stratton was mandated by a global, tier-one investment bank to provide a Talent Map & Pipeline for the role of Group Managing Director, Head of AI Implementation. The role is the key driver behind enabling the business units to execute on AI initiatives with a strong focus on strategy, governance and stakeholder management. It is responsible for setting group strategy on AI/ML, establishing and governing group-wide AI/ML principles and standards, and ensuring alignment to broader business goals.

Wilbury Stratton provides an innovative and disruptive solution which combines Executive Research and Search methodologies to deliver market intelligence and talent to our clients. As part of a two-stage research process, Wilbury Stratton initially mapped 176 high-performing AI professionals, before refining this to a shortlist of 10 standout candidates.
Partnering closely with the bank’s Executive Talent Acquisition team, we facilitated an extensive vetting process, leading to eight first-round interviews. The project concluded successfully with the placement of our client’s preferred candidate – an experienced Group Managing Director from a competitor. Additionally, our comprehensive talent mapping ensures the bank can strategically pipeline future AI leadership talent, strengthening their long-term succession planning.
